The Old Red - an exciting conferencece on Miller's geological legacy

The 9th and 10th of September 2017 will see an exciting "legacy" conference taking place in Cromarty, organised by The Friends of Hugh Miller. The conference, entitled 'The Old Red: Hugh Miller's Geological legacy' will see a variety of
eminent scientists discuss different aspects of Miller's legacy. A key focus will be on a new edition of one of Miller's seminal publications 'The Old Red Sandstone,' which is nearing completion.
The conference is also aimed at non-scientists, such as historians, literary scholars, anyone with an interest in Miller and in Victorian literature, science and society.
